Description
MCC’s Multi-Manufacturer Automotive Program (MMAP) prepares students for rewarding careers as Automotive Service Technicians. This program allows students to work with various makes of vehicles, developing a broader understanding of the diverse automotive market. Students will receive classroom instruction from experienced instructors, participate in extensive hands-on lab activities, and gain real world experience to create a comprehensive automotive education. They will earn money while completing their degree by participating in required student work experiences. Students will work with the latest technology, tools and equipment and have opportunities to earn industry certifications.
A minimum grade of C is necessary in all required automotive classes for continued matriculation in the program.
Students must purchase a required list of tools, and will need to transport them to and from school for lab sessions. Student discounts are available.
Upon completion:
• Students will have an opportunity to earn ASE Certifications
• Students will gain real world automotive experience
• Students will have an opportunity to obtain a New York State Inspector License
• Students will have an opportunity to acquire an EPA 609 (Air Conditioning) Certification

Requirements for Program Entrance
Students must be ENG 101 ready and MCC Level 4 Mathematics placement or higher to enter the program, and must possess a valid driver’s license.
